Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Mould-on Polyurethane Castors and Wheels for ESD-Protected Areas

New RE.F5-ESD wheels and castors from Elesa-Ganter present a special mould-on polyurethane tyres with electrical resistivity <10^9 Ω, which prevents the accumulation of electrostatic charge.
These ESD castors offer protection to sensitive electronics, in hazardous environments and other ESD-PROTECTED AREAS where all components sensitive to electrostatic discharges must be protected from damage. Electrical specifications meet the requirements of the international ISO 22878:2004 standard.

Operator comfort is improved by allowing the elctrostatic charge to pass directly to ground instead of through the individual thus avoiding electrostatic shock . Typically used on trolleys, in the electronics industry but they can be used in other industry sectors too.

ESD castors and wheels are available with a steel sheet bracket for light loads (RE.F5-N-ESD) and medium-heavy loads (RE.F5-H-ESD), with or without a brake. The RE.F5 offers excellent load capacity of up to 8000N static. Plate mounting variants available for this castor allow the designer to incorporate steering and locking for the operator as needed. In addition, these castors have excellent rolling resistance and elasticity features along with high wear and tearing resistance.
